When reading an email, text or web page and you want to get
back to the top, touch any where on the status bar (look for
the “time”, that’s the status bar) and it will take you to
the beginning.

If you are in a meeting, and your iPhone rings (or vibrates)
you can silent it immediately without sending it to voicemail
immediately. Just press on the “volume” keys. If you want
to send it to voicemail immediately, press the sleep/wake
button on the top of your iPhone.

To “Hard Reboot” your iPhone, hold the “Home” button and
the Sleep/Wake button together for 10 seconds. You can
ignore the “slide to turn off” message. This does not cause
any loss of programs or data.

Does you iPhone sometimes show no signal, when you know
you should have a signal? Instead of rebooting, try turning
“Airplane” mode off and on. Go to the “Settings” icon and
slide Airplane on “On” then “Off”.

Force bad Apps to quit. Hold the “Sleep/Wake” button and
“Home” button simultaneously until you see “slide to turn off”.
Release both buttons, then hold the “Home” button down for
about 6 seconds. This will release the App and return to your
Home screen. (If you have an iPhone that hasn’t been

6 seconds. This will release the App and return you to
your Home screen.

it was before you messed it up? You can reset your iPhone

When you want to browse the web in Safari, you don’t

will appear that tells you the full link, with additional options.

In Safari, if there is a picture on a website you like, you can
save it to your camera roll. Hold you finger on the image for
about 3 seconds. An option will show up. Choose “Save Image”
and it will be in your camera roll.

If you are browsing the web, and you come across a page t

bottom of the page and email it to them.

When sending an email, when you type the address, instead
of typing .com, just hold the . (period) down and choose the
domain type ending.

Many keys on the keyboard have “extra” characters.
Hold down a key and find out what else it does.
Note: not every key has other features. Experiment!

To enter punctuation or numbers easily, hold your finger on
the 123 key, then slide to the number or punctuation you want
and release. The keyboard will go back to the qwerty keyboard.

Did you make a mistake typing, then need to get the cursor
back to your mistake to fix? Instead of backspacing (and un-doing
all the correct stuff), hold your finger down on the typed letters.
A “magnifying” glass will appear. Slide your finger to where
you want the cursor to be and release. Now, fix your error.
